10: Monthly meeting of the Oklahoma Chapter 420 of Trout unlimited and Tulsa Fly Fishers. Meeting will take place at the Hardesty Public Library in Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. Toby Vaughn will be speaking at the meeting about Fishing the Soft Hackle Fly.

19: Oklahoma state turkey calling contest at Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow.

21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - State Offices Closed.

22: Fertilizing for Profit Seminar. this workshop will help producers understand how to more efficiently use fertilizer to maximize profits with focuses on fertilization for forage and hay. Topics include soil testing, pH and liming, and the economic and agronomic considerations of applying fertilizer. Seminar is from 1pm - 4pm at the Noble Foundation Kruse Auditorium.

23: Delta Waterfowl fundraising banquet at Camp Loughridge in Tulsa. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Ticket sales and a list of items for the auction and raffle may be found at www.greencountrywaterfowl.com.

29: Prescribed Burn Workshop. Topics will range from legal considerations and techniques for managing fire to environmental considerations and developing prescribed burning plans. Weather permitting an afternoon demonstration burn will be conducted with an explanation of necessary equipment. Workshop runs from 8am - 5pm Registration fee is $20 and includes lunch.
