9: The Tulsa Fly Fishers and Oklahoma Trout Unlimited meeting. Guest speakers Stan and Carolyn Parker, fly fishing guides from Branson, MO will discuss where, which flies and how best to catch trout below Table Rock Lake on the White River and from Lake Taneycomo. Time permitting Scott Hood will offer a review of the Lower Illinois River and where and what flies to use on the club outing on the 10th of November. Meetings are free and open to the public and held at the HARDESTY PUBLIC LIBRARY located 8316 E. 93rd St. on the north side of the Creek Turnpike off Memorial Drive. MEETINGS BEGIN AT 6:30 PM
13: The annual tour of the Backwoods Adventures Slideshow to
take place at Backwoods’ Oklahoma City store. This free event
shares imagery from past Backwoods Adventures travels throughout
the year and names the upcoming adventure trips planned for the
coming year. This years’ event not only announces the 2013
Backwoods Adventure trips, the evening will also include several
special offers in celebration of the company’s upcoming 40th
anniversary. The evening will kickoff at 6:30p.m. with
refreshments and the program begins promptly at 7p.m. and runs
till 9 p.m. The Backwoods’ Oklahoma City store is located at
12325 N. May Avenue.

17: The Nature Center located at the Watchable Wildlife Area will be open from 9 am – 3 pm. The biologist on duty will be happy to visit with visitors about wildlife in the area or take a walk with you on the nature trail. Hours will be 9 am to 3 pm.
