youth deer gun

Oklahoma’s youth deer gun season is a chance for kids to go deer hunting for three days with adult supervision before all of the adult gun hunters head to the woods. It's easy to participate! We've compiled all the details you need right here.
This guide walks you through everything you need to know, whether you are a kid or teenager hoping to hunt or an adult interested in taking a youth hunting. We've got everything from where to go hunting to legal requirements and tips and advice for making your hunt fun and successful. Youth deer gun season is Oct. 15-17, 2021.

- This guide was produced with work by Whitney Jenkins, information technician, and Michael Bergin, senior information & education specialist for the Wildlife Department. It originally ran in the agency's award winning "Outdoor Oklahoma" magazine (just $10 for a full year!).
