3 & 4: Youth Spring Turkey Season.

3: The BassPro Shops in Broken Arrow will be hosting Spring Hunting Seminars. Seminars will be held every two hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first seminar will be Let's talk turkey - learning turkey vocalizations, followed by taxidermy techniques for the beginner, let's talk turkey and taxidermy techniques for the beginner.

6 - May 6: Turkey season statewide. Consult the hunting guide for bag limit.

19: Sign up for OSU's Land Management 101 short course. Topics include prescribed fire, grazing management, timber management, wildlife management and a full day field tour. The course will be held June 8, 15, 22 & 29 from 6-8:30 at the Oklahoma County Extension Office (930 N Portland, OKC). This course is intended for anyone interested in managing land sustainably for wildlife, livestock or timber, this course would be particularly helpful for new or absentee landowners. 24: Fly Fishing Workshop. Dripping Springs Lake, Dripping Springs State Park (Clovis Point). Tulsa Fly Fishers, Okmulgee State Park, and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife present a one day free workshop to introduce the basics of fly fishing.
