Oklahoma Wildlife Department Youth Camp

Sportfish of Oklahoma - Fisheries biologists with the Wildlife Department will illustrate fish handling and behavior with the help of an aquarium designed to showcase Oklahoma’s native fish. Also learn about stream bank stabilization through a dynamic, and interactive, stream erosion model.

Interactive Fishing Simulator - Test you fishing abilities on the interactive fishing simulator all day at the ODWC Booth. Climb into the boat chair and get ready to fight. The simulator duplicates the strike and fish fight in realistic, heart pumping action. Great fun for the kids too.

Interactive Shooting Simulator - Hunting meets the computer age in an interactive shooting simulator . Different programs provide varied hunting and shooting experiences. Your shots are tracked via a laser and feedback is sent to the simulation screen.

 

Wild Turkey Management -Every wonder how you would catch many wild turkeys in two seconds? Wildlife biologists use a device called a drop net, a net suspended and dropped with the aid of an explosive charge to catch the birds.
