Like many snakes in Oklahoma, the orange-striped ribbon snake becomes more active
and visible in the early spring. This harmless reptile grows up to 30 inches long and
ranges across the entire state except the western Panhandle. More than 50 species and
subspecies of snakes can be found in Outdoor Oklahoma.
