Oklahoma naturalist’s field pack. Mentioned in the
book is an interesting sub-species recently described
by the authors and named the Howery’s Clubtail
(Gomphurus ozarkensis howeryi). The name honors
Mark Howery, a longtime Wildlife Biologist with the
Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
Dragonflies have been around for millions of
years. They are beautiful, interesting and highly
beneficial creatures that anyone in Oklahoma can
observe and enjoy.
