There's just about as many soft plastic options for panfish as there are for bass these days! So there's no shortage of selection when it comes to targeting sunfish and crappie.
Tubes, swimbaits and grubs of all colors will yield fish when fishing in farm ponds, creeks and small lakes. Natural colors like green pumpkin will typically catch the most fish. Chartreuse, orange or pale pink are also good color options.
Naturally colored tubes, grubs and creatures along with white swimbaits are excellent selections in clear water streams, though if bass are present they may be the primary bite.
Brightly colored marabou jigs are popular on reservoirs for springtime crappie as are swimbaits such as baby shad.
