Oklahoma Outdoor Education
The Wildlife Department’s education programs are aimed at improving safety, skills and knowledge of hunting, fishing, shooting and other outdoor pursuits. We offer both public facing and in-school training opportunities available to public and private schools.
Public Programs
Public Programs are free of charge and include Hunter Education, WMA Field Days, a creative writing contest (open to both public and schools) and Family Fishing clinics. In most cases, the Department provides instructors, with all the equipment (guns, ammo, rods and reels, tackle, bait, and education materials) for these events.
