Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Konawa Report

Jan 12. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 48°F and clear.

Bass, Largemouth Slow on Alabama rig, crankbaits, plastic baits around main lake, points, river channel, weed beds.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White Slow on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live shad around discharge, main lake, river channel.

Catfish, Channel Slow on chicken liver, cut bait, shrimp around coves, inlet, riprap, rocks.

Birch Reservoir Report

McGee Creek Report

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Spotted Excellent on Alabama rig, bill baits, crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, plastic baits around brush structure, points, shallows, shorelines, standing timber.

Bass, White Good on Alabama rigs, bill baits, crankbaits, small lures around main lake, points.

Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on cut bait, dough bait, shrimp, stinkbait around creek channels, main lake, riprap.

Sardis Lake Report

Wister Lake Report
