Fishing Report

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Additional Information:
The lake is 29 feet above normal with minimal discharge water being released below the dam. Black bass have migrated to the standing timber and brush cover with weedless plastic baits easier to work. Sand bass are congregating to night lights and anchored night fishermen can fill their live wells with big sand bass on minnows about one foot above the bottom. Catfish are responding to almost any live or cut bait using many summertime methods (rod, jugs, limb lines or trotlines).
