Fishing Reports

We know that fishing in Oklahoma can be good nearly all year round but the peak time for most species and anglers is March to June, which is when we require reports to be submitted. If there is a particular lake you would like to know about during the non-required report time you can contact the county game warden or a local bait shop to check on the lake conditions before heading out.

Hugo Lake Report

Sep 29. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 82°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level)

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live bait, punch bait, shad, stinkbait, sunfish around below the dam, brush structure, channels, creek channels, main lake, river channel, shorelines, standing timber.

Crappie, White Fair on jigs, minnows around below the dam, brush structure, channels, main lake, river channel, standing timber.

Pine Creek Lake Report

Sep 29. Elevation is 4 ft. above normal (rising), water temperature 80°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on plastic baits, topwater lures around coves, creek channels.

Crappie, Black Fair on jigs, small lures around standing timber.

Catfish, Channel Good on chicken liver around below the dam, creek channels, main lake.

Sardis Lake Report

Sep 29. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal (falling), water temperature 85°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Largemouth Fair on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, lipless baits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits around brush structure, channels, coves, points, shorelines.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, stinkbait, sunfish, worms around brush structure, channels, main lake, points, standing timber.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on jigs, minnows, tube jigs around brush structure, channels, points, shorelines, standing timber.

Waurika Lake Report

Sep 29. Elevation is Normal (falling), water temperature 76°F and murky.

Bass, Striped Hybrid, Bass, White, Saugeye Fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, lipless baits, plastic baits, small lures around dam, docks, main lake, points, rocks.

Bass, Largemouth, Crappie, White Fair on crankbaits, jigs, lipless baits, minnows, plastic baits, PowerBait, small lures around brush structure, docks, main lake, rocks, weed beds.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel Fair on cut bait, live bait, minnows, shrimp, worms around channels, creek channels, main lake, rocks, shorelines.
