Lower Mountain Fork River Trout Area Report

Sep 30. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 66°F and clear.

Trout, Rainbow Excellent on plastic baits, PowerBait, small lures, tube jigs, worms around below the dam, channels, rocks, spillway.

Catfish, Channel Good on chicken liver, cut bait around inlet, riprap, weed beds.

Texoma Report

Sep 25. Elevation is 2 ft. below normal (falling), water temperature 84°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Fair on live shad, sassy shad, slabs around channels, flats, points, river channel.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait, stinkbait, sunfish around channels, coves, docks, points, river channel.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, minnows, small lures around brush structure, coves, docks, points, rocks, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week has been better. The bite is still tough on some days. Striper are feeling around washita point, platter flats and north of the railroad bridge. Live bait is still the best bait right now. Blue cats are being caught near the oil wells in the channel on cut bait and live shad. Crappie are being caught in 11-24ft of water on jigs and minnows.
