McGee Creek Report

Jul 31. Elevation is Normal (stable), water temperature 83°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level)

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Good on minnows, small lures, tube jigs, other around brush structure, main lake, standing timber.

Bass, Largemouth, Bass, Spotted Fair on Alabama rigs, bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, jigs, other around brush structure, docks, main lake, points, riprap, standing timber.

Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Good on chicken liver, live bait, live shad, stinkbait, sunfish, worms around channels, docks, main lake, rocks.

Comments: Some days are tough due to the heat, so early mornings have been the most productive. Anglers are catching crappie in 10–12 feet of water around brush piles and standing timber, with minnows producing the best results.

Texoma Report

Jul 26. Elevation is 4 ft. above normal (stable), water temperature 86°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level)

Bass, Striped Fair on live shad, slabs around below the dam, main lake.

Catfish, Blue, Catfish, Channel, Catfish, Flathead Fair on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, stinkbait around below the dam, coves, docks, river mouth.

Crappie, Black, Crappie, White Fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs around brush structure, coves, docks, standing timber.

Comments: Fishing this week has been good. Striper have been caught below the dam and down around Washita point and platter flats areas. And by the railroad and Roosevelt bridge. Catfish have been good around ledges and baited holes and around cleaning docks. Crappy have been good around brush and open water stumps.
