Landowners Invited to Upland Gamebird Field Days

Landowners who want to learn about management practices aimed at improving upland game bird habitat are invited to attend Upland Gamebird Field Days scheduled at three locations in the coming weeks. Each free event features an instructional field tour and a provided lunch. The field days are:

  • May 3, Spavinaw Wildlife Management Area headquarters near Spavinaw.
  • May 4, Groendyke North Ranch near Enid.
  • June 6, Pushmataha Wildlife Management Area near Clayton.

Discussion topics will include forest or range management, prescribed burning, pollinators, livestock grazing, habitat management for quail, turkey and dove, and other subjects pertaining to upland game birds.
