  • Submission period for 2026: Jan. 1 to April 15.
  • Submissions must be made digitally using the form below.
  • Submissions should have been taken in Oklahoma, although any photographer may enter.
  • Each participant may submit up to three (3) digital images. They must be original. Traditional photo editing is permitted, but images cannot be altered or created by AI. A "thank you" status message will display when you've successfully entered your photo(s).
  • Photos should be in sharp focus, and image resolution should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch), and the file size should be at least 1MB. Though it’s not required, the suggested canvas size should be about 8 inches by 11 inches. For large files, multiple submissions of this form may be necessary.

Submit your high-quality digital photographs here for a chance to have them published in "Outdoor Oklahoma" magazine's July/August issue! All entries are due by April 15.

Your photos should showcase Oklahoma's great outdoors.  Possible subjects might include wildlife such as mammals, birds, fish or insects; landscapes, rivers, streams and lakes; sunsets, storms or rainbows; action shots from outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing; and more!

This contest is meant to showcase the best artistic photography relating to Oklahoma and the outdoors. Judges will not consider most snapshots showing hunters or anglers posing with their harvested game or fish.

UPLOAD UP TO THREE DIGITAL IMAGES

Each person is allowed to enter a total of three images.

Photo-illustrations or montages, or images that have been materially altered from their original appearance, are not eligible.

Photos should be in sharp focus, and images should be about 300 dpi (dots per inch) in resolution. Though not required, we suggest a canvas size of about 8 inches by 11 inches. Most images taken with a cellphone are not of sufficient quality for magazine publication and therefore will not likely be considered for judging. Some smartphones, however, can be configured to capture high-def, high-quality images and can be considered for judging if the image meets resolution and size stipulations.

*** IMPORTANT! ***

RENAME YOUR IMAGE FILES BEFORE UPLOADING!

Before uploading your images, rename image files on your computer. For the new name, use your first name, last name and image number.

EXAMPLE: Joe Smith wants to submit two image files. He will right-click on the image files one at a time, choose "rename" and then type in the new names "joesmith1"  and "joesmith2." After renaming each file, Joe will click on "Choose File" to upload each of his entries.  (Renaming image files allows us to better manage the many hundreds of photos submitted. Thank you!)

Please note, if you are submitting multiple large files, it may be helpful to break them up into two separate submissions.
