Bird watchers from across the state reported 156 species in 59 counties during the Great Backyard Bird Count in late February. The four-day survey, hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, allows citizen scientists to share their data and contribute to a state, national, and global look at our bird populations.
See how your county stacked up, which species had the largest reported flocks, and get ideas for your next bird watching trip.
