Outdoor Oklahoma TV

ODWC's Official TV Show

Outdoor Oklahoma showcases the best of hunting, fishing, and wildlife diversity in our great state. We document Oklahoman's stories of hunting, fishing, or just enjoying the outdoors, where you, the outdoor enthusiast, are the star. We also feature ODWC's expert biologists, game wardens, and employees helping make our state an outdoor destination, and a pinnacle in conservation.

Outdoor Oklahoma has aired on OETA for over 45 years and we are proud of our partnership with Oklahoma's premiere public broadcast station. We also air on various low-power small municipal stations in Guthrie, Stillwater, and Enid.

4939 Outdoor Oklahoma (Redbud Jelly, Illinois River Float, William Tse's Story)

This week, Outdoor Oklahoma celebrates the diverse ways we connect with nature and the enduring power of outdoor traditions. We begin with a unique springtime culinary adventure, as Tel Judkins demonstrates how to transform the beautiful red bud blossom into a surprisingly delicious homemade jelly! Learn the steps to harvest these Oklahoma blooms and create a vibrant, flavorful treat. Then, we journey to the scenic Illinois River for some classic Oklahoma canoe fishing! Experience the joy of pursuing largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass in this beautiful waterway. But this week’s episode goes beyond the catch. We share the heartfelt story of William Tse, a Lake Hefner fisherman whose passion for fishing is intertwined with the memory of his beloved brother and fishing partner, Tom.  His story is a testament to the healing power of nature and the enduring bonds forged through shared experiences in the outdoors. Join us as we celebrate the beauty of Oklahoma's landscapes and the human connections that make them even more meaningful. Don't forget to subscribe to Outdoor Oklahoma, brought to you by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation! Your support helps us share these incredible stories.
