Youth Bonus Deer Hunt

Private Lands Youth Deer Hunts

Each year youth hunters have a unique opportunity to participate in one or numerous bonus deer hunts that take place on private land. There are two application periods that offer hunts on private lands. The first opens in April with the standard Controlled Hunts application period for any youth deer hunter. The other is in early August and is only for beginning hunters, namely those that have harvested no more than one deer in their hunting career.

To be eligible to apply for these private lands youth hunts, youth must have completed their hunter education requirements prior to applying and must be 12-17 years old at the time of their scheduled hunt.

Every participant must have an adult (licensed or unlicensed) who is at least 21 years of age accompanying them on the hunt. Do not list any hunt that you are not interested in or know in advance you cannot attend.
